It's quite good, have found a few already today in that time zone between 1903 and 1927!!

Marriages from about 1905 onwards are matched up with spouses's in some case's..

But I did come across quite a lot of records of just names with no year of birth too, and I've searched for a birth that I know is on familysearch but it's not coming up....

Hopefully in time it will settle down but the recent, births, deaths and marriages will help quite a lot!

I didn't have to give my name. I had to tick a box and then do the 'captcha' text which is difficult to see on this little netbook.
However, I did find my mother-in-law's deceased siblings through the mother's name. We had known that there were three girls and had been told that they were all Margaret but discovered that one was a Mary.
Earlier births  -around 1870 haven't shown a mother's surname though  :-\

Mmm interesting
I decided to try myself and my siblings using the more search options, so putting in the mother's maiden name.
3 of us were born at home 3 in Hollis St. Dublin.
My mother has an O'Name.
Using O'Name I found the 3 born at home but not the Dublin ones for them I needed O Name, had to do a separate search to find the eldest.
Worth bearing in mind

I'm puzzled because I can't get any New Ross info. The option on the site is 'NewRoss' with no space but I just get 'no results'. :-\
I got my Mayo information.

What I would like to know is how one can use the information to get a cert since no volume and page information shows. Is the "Group Registration ID" some kind of unique identifier that will serve the same purpose as the traditional volume and page numbers.

I'm been doing a little study tonight.
As most of you know women have increasingly giving birth in hospital as modern health care, roads and cars have improved.
Kildare doesn't have a maternity hospital so women go to Dublin.
My mother jokes when there is a Dublin v Kildare match that it's a Dublin v Dublin match.
With that in mind
Naas Reg District Births
1951 - 55.  3500
56 - 60.     2811
61 - 65.     2222 (duel carriageway built Naas to Dublin in the 60s)
66 - 70.     1288
71 - 75.     411
76 - 80.    202
81 - 85.    73
86 - 90.    281
91 - 95.    167
96 - 2000 no result
01 - 05.   No result
Approx population of Kildare early 1950s 80000.   2002 just over 160000
