The 1921 death is shown on the NZ BDM index as Leslie Mason CURRIE, aged 49 years.  ???

Henry higgins  teacher mongonui is on the cert in the presence of. She was under age
Is her brother braidwood thomas higgins I ponder.
tried to get an intention to marry without success.

The snippet re a Florence Higgins is in the 'Poverty Bay Herald' dated 10.6.1916..........

Promoted to head teacher @ Mohaka.

A generation on from Florence Henrietta Catherine??

A marriage printout for Braidwood Thomas should reveal his parents names. And with luck a death printout will have this information for Florence H. C.

Transcription errors have been known in BDM's, Gisborne Cemetery have Lilie on the Headstone.

Reply #12 I mentioned the  Parent's names of Braidwood Thomas Higgins.

Do you know for a fact that the mother's maiden name was Braidwood? or is that just guesswork?

The tree that I found for Braidwood Thomas Higgins gives his mother's maiden name of Armfield.
