looking for records of inmates to poorhouse from 1915 onwards any idea where they are kept and where the persons where buried ,

Further to the previous answer, Wigtownshire Poor records are held in the National Archives in Edinburgh.
CO4/32/1 -7 covers the years 1845-1930

Monica:  I think so. Remember that Poor houses in country areas were 'combination', covering more than one parish. Usually someone had to be placed in the poorhouse by the Parish Council, hence it is advisable to search both types of record.
