« on: Monday 11 August 14 23:19 BST (UK) »
Hi All,
I'm trying to find out info on Patrick Leonard died 1st world , he married in Derry in 1906 in Long tower R.C church to a maggie Mc Carron, they had two children both born in Donegal Bridget (my Granmother) and Elizabeth, when Patrick died in the war the family broke up and my Gran was hired around Donegal/ and Strabane area.
the other sister Elizabeth was taken and reared by His Sister Mary McKeown nee Leonard in Ramelton, Donegal.
Elizabeth married in Ramelton in 1950.
any help much appreciated. Cathal

Struggling to find a marriage for this couple,
There is a Mary Leonard Reg District, Ballyshannon 1917
and a James Keown on the same page.
Many people didn't use MC or O until the 1920s
does 1917 seem a bit late for their marriage?
did they have any children of their own?

Morning Sinnan,
I know the Mary McKeown/nee Leonard (her father was Patrick) had a  daughter named Mary who lived in Coleraine with My Grandmother in the 1950/60's then moved  to somewhere in Belfast and I was never able to get any other info on either of them other than Mary McKeown died in a nursing home in the 1970's, thanks
