Walter Allison Kirkpatrick help!
« on: Tuesday 27 September 11 22:01 BST (UK) »
hi,

I have found an ancestor that i think moved to America soon after the Scottish 1901 census was taken.

I was on ancestry and i am doing the 14 day trail and i cant get on the world wide part of ancestry and when i looked on the census for a Walter Kirkpatrick it did come up and next to his name it said this:

Walter Allison Kirkpatrick
Detroit Border Crossings and Passenger and Crew Lists, 1905-1957

I cant find a death cert for Walter in Scotland and this pretty much tells me why.

I was wondergin if someone could look it up and tell me when he moved and if you could try find a death record for him and his wife if you can and even tell me if there is new children that he has had over in America.

In 1901 this is them:

Walter Allison born in Glasgow 1870 Head
Marion Allison born in motherwell, lanarkshire Scotland in 1899 Dau
Jeanie (could be Jane) Allison born in motherwell, lanarkshire Scotland in 1900 Dau

I don't know where the mother would be or if she had even died

this is for Jeanie

Jeanie Kirkpatrick
UK Incoming Passenger Lists, 1878-1960

Any help would be great,

Gary

Re: Incoming passengers list

There are 5 entries for Jeanie Kirkpatrick - 2 without a birthyear

One was b 1900 but was travelling in 1904 with a Mrs Kirkpatrick aged 71 occ housekeeper from Montreal to Glasgow

None of the other 4 entries match your Jeanie's birthyear

Thanks Sandra,

As we can see he was vsiting his sister in law and I think he was visiting his sister when he came back to scotland she stayed round about that area. Now I need to find out when he moved to new Zealand and when he died.

Thanks for the help.

For the jeanie I don't know who she would be with.

Thanks Sandra,

I have come to a halt because of some complications as you have probably seen at the last page but i am sure we will solve it all. There was only one Jeanie Allison Kirkpatrick born in 1900 in Scotland so it should be easy to solve.
