Looking for Henry/Harry Hickford/Heckford in 1861 census.
He was born 1839/40 Leighton Buzzard Bedfordshire, he is not at home with his family.
Can he be found, please?

Many thanks

Hello Heywood

That looks like him, thanks, his father was a butcher, so a good clue that is correct.
Could I ask, please, who is he living with? Maybe a relative or possibly he's a boarder.

Thanks

Not sure if the message I sent earlier has registered, in case it hasn't:
Many thanks for your reply, that certainly looks like him, his father was a butcher, which is a good clue that he's the correct one.
Could you tell me who he is staying with in Clerkenwell?
Many thanks

He is entered as head and living alone as MargP says. However, the house was also occupied by a family named Altwright - the head being in the meat trade.

It looks then as though Henry dies back in Leighton a couple of years later, is that right?

Thank you both for your replies.

That's correct, Heywood, Henry also known as Harry died Leighton Buzzard a few years later.

Best wishes and many thanks.
