WW1 letters

Dear All
In, I think about 1915, the Bedfordshire papers asked people to lend them their soldier relatives' and friends' letters for publication (with the personal bits taken out).  I have managed to find an amazing number of these letters, and some articles as well, from my Grandad - W Franklin and his brother Herbert, known as Bert.  However, in one of the articles in the Biggleswade paper later in the War, it's mentioned that they had published extracts from Bert's War Diaries some time ago.  Has anyone come across them please?  I'm not having much luck.

And if you haven't tried the papers for soldiers' letters, please do - they're a revelation.
Regards
Derby Girl
