Gilbert Noble / Helen Greene / Charles Noble

Hello.

Im at a complete road block with my grannies fathers side. the information is very conflicting and everywhere I search leads me no where. I have only names and birth place absolutely no dates.

My great grandfather is Charles Joseph Forrester Noble date of birth and death unknown. I have some paper work that says he was born in Scotland Fraserburgh. Parents are Gilbert Noble and Helen Greene also born in Scotland.

they then at some point moved to South Africa Port Elizabeth. My granny is adamant he was born in South Africa but paper work says Scotland and she is rather old now and very forgetful. 

Charles got married had 3 kids then his wife passed away, he got married again and had 4 kids. my granny been the last been born in 1925, and the first from the second marriage born in 1919. He apparently died when my granny was very young age 60 and she cant remember a great deal. If that helps at all I don't know

Hi, I'm not sure of your timeline but scotlandspeople have a Charles Noble born in Fraserburgh in 1843. There are also several mentions of a Charles and a Joseph and Gilbert and helen on familysearch. I hope this helps. (Noble is still a well known name in Fraserburgh)

What was your Great Grandmother's name.
Where did your Great Grandfather marry in 1919.
Where was your grannie born.

so sorry its nothing to really go from at all.

Great Grandmother is Margaret Elizabeth Wilks Burgess (Burgess is the last name) - then she married Charles Noble after he died she married Stuart Berry.

When Charles married his second wife they got married in Port Elizabeth, South Africa in a church somewhere looked through marriage register from 1817 - 1820 and found nothing.

and my granny is born in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
