Using FreeBMD, I can't see any Margaret APPLEBY Scott born at that time, so she must not be registered with the middle name.

The 1901 census shows a Joseph B. Scott, steam crane driver, married to Jane A., with children, including a Margaret, aged "1", at 20 davison Street, Newburn, Northumberland.

The 1901 census shows an Albert Scott, shipyard riveter, married to Mary, with two daughters, including a Margaret A., aged "2", at 8 Union Street, Stockton on Tees.

Hi

Are there any other details on the marriage certificate that might help ?
Where was the marriage ?
Do you know any other details for the years between birth and marriage ?
Was she a spinster at marriage ?

Glen

When/where did she die and under what name?

If after 1969 then her exact date of birth should be given.

i saw the crane driver in the census but not riveter.
i am trying to follow the crane driver back to see if there is an appleby in the family
