Hi LostAndfound i did see that but mum always said she was born 1925 Dublin South. she's no longer here to ask. but must admit she had 8 children and got a lot of there names and birth dates wrong

Do you have any other details that might narrow down the search e.g. your grandparents names?  To be honest you could request both certificates as detailed by me and Sinan but you'll still need something else to verify which cert is correct.

You say your mum said she was born in South Dublin - did she ever say where?  Or perhaps talked about where she grew up?  Any siblings we could look for?
