The 1861 census returns for Denio (Pwllheli) are missing.

Hi, I have just realised I put the wrong dob for the William Jones I was hoping someone would be able to locate the baptism for in Pwllheli--It should have been dob 12 August 1890, and the baptism would most likely have been in the main church in Pwllhelli  Thankyou Tom

Anyone needing to look up baptism, marriage and burial records for the Llyn area should check out Keith Parry's brilliant website Yffor.com. I think this one of the records you are after:

52  24/10/1890  William  William Barker  Jane  Jones  5 St Tudwals Terrace  Settmaker  D Jones Vicar

It is under Church/ Denio Parish 1888-1916 Parish Register.

I'll let you have the pleasure of trawling through the site to find the other records.

Glyn
Jones - Penmachno/Blaenau Ffestiniog/Capel Garmon
Thomas - Abererch/Porthmadog
Evans - Llangelynin/Llanaelhaern
Jones - Pwllheli/Abererch
Brammer - Lincolnshire/Nottinghamshire
Robb - London/Scotland

You are welcome Tom. I hope you have success in your search.
I wonder if I could ask a favour? I notice you have the MI records for Denio. A 2XGGrandfather of mine Henry Jones (joiner/carpenter) was buried there on 20 May 1868. Please can you check if he has a headstone recorded and if so the MI transcription. It would be interesting to know who he is buried with since he was married three times.

Many thanks.
