Edwards in Llandderfel 1911
« on: Sunday 31 January 10 15:42 GMT (UK) »
Using the 1911 census, I have found another, distant generation of my Edwards family.  Can anyone give me more information?

The Edwards family originally took over Llanerch y Baedd farm, Llandderfel between 1825 and 1841, with my GGG grandfather, Rees Edwards.  After his death in 1855, Rees' youngest son (Edward John Edwards)  took over the farm, and later it passed to his son, also Edward, after 1884.  In 1890, Edward married Catherine Davies, and they continued farming Llanerch Y Baedd.

By 1901, they had three daughters  -  Lizzie (Elizabeth), Gwen and Kate Anne, but this Edward died before the 1911 census, as his wife, Catherine, is now shown as a widow.  These three girls would have been 2nd cousins to my Dadcu (grandfather).

I haven't yet been able to find definite marriages for the 3 girls, as the names are quite common.  Is anyone related to any of these 3 girls? ??? :D
