Hi mrsben

Welcome to rootschat

Records between the 1911 census and the index for immigrants 1925 - 1935 are pretty scarce. There is an ongoing project that hopes to transcribe passengers that came through Halifax and Quebec for the years 1908 to 1920, currently they have 1908 to 1910, but it would be worth making a record of it and checking for updates

Do you know Albert's d.o.b and his/Emily's parent's names? You said in a previous post your Aunt Emily married a Canadian. Do you know if Albert was born in Canada or did he perhaps immigrate at an earlier date, return to England, meet and marry your Aunt Emily and then they both moved back to Canada? Every little bit of information you have, however insignificant you may think helps :)

Hi, I am new to this site, so not sure of how to post etc. But, I think my husbands grandfather is the Albert Woodham that you are looking for. He was from England (not sure where) and was married to Effie Coleman. They were married in 1909 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan.

Hi Eileen,

Welcome to RootsChat

Doesn't look as if the original poster Mrsben has been online since November 2010  :'( Once you make 1 more post, you could try the personal message system and see if she picks up your message that way.

Good Luck.
Sandra  ;)

Hi, Thank you for pointing out that mrsben has not been on this site for some time. I didn't notice the date of the postings, I was just so excited to see that that Albert Woodham was probably my husbands grandfather. As I said he married Effie Coleman - interesting to see Alberts sister Emily was also maried to a Coleman. Coincidence? Mrsben if you are out there I would love hear what you know about the Woodhams.

Hi Eileen,
I have Woodham ancestry and I bet we can find a link. Do you know where Thomas Woodham was born??

Best wishes, and welcome.

Hi Linda,
Sorry, I don't know where Alberts parents were born. Albert was born in Great Stoughton Hunts.
From mrsben's postings I guess he had a sister Emily - who it looks like married a Coleman and immigrated to Canada - Yorkton, Saskatchewan - where Albert also went.
I will be interested to hear if your Woodham's are from the same family.
