Macdonald-Roberts marriage

Hi,
I was hoping that someone could help me with trying to trace a marriage for my great great grandparents, names Margaret Roberts and Edward Macdonald. Edward was born in Gwaeynsgor in 1862, and Margaret was born in c1861 in Rhyl (according to later census records after she was married). Their first child, Ewart Macdonald was born in 1884, I think in Gwaeynsgor (again, according to census, and I've also found a BMD entry for him). By 1887 they were living in Wombwell, Yorkshire. My great grandmothers birth cert gives her mothers maiden name as Roberts. However, I can't find a marriage for Edward and Margaret anywhere!! I've tried FreeBMD, the North Wales and Yorkshire BMD's as well as parish records on findmypast, but nothing is coming up. I think they married approx 1884 and going by the birth of Ewart in Wales, I think it was probably in Flintshire. I'm hoping someone can shine some light on this, it's been a sticking point fir years now!!

There is a possibility that they may have married in the Rotherham District of Yorkshire in the Oct/Nov/Dec quarter of 1883.On Ancestry there is a marriage in that quarter for an Edward "McDonald" and no other names are given.In the same quarter there is a marriage for a Margaret Roberts in Rotherham.The details are Volume 9c,Page 994.

I really must also apologise for being late this morning coming online.It took me well over two and a half hours to install a new printer on my computer!I found the marriage I spoke of in about five minutes!

Thats Ok Sarah,when your searching for something like this you have to think sometimes "outside the box"!Obviously I didn't search for a Margaret Roberts marriage,I searched for an Edward Macdonald marriage and used "soundex" on Ancestry.
