1851 census look up please Grant/ Smith
« on: Thursday 27 April 06 18:17 BST (UK) »
Would anyone be able to look at the 1851 census for Carrbridge. I think that I might have traced my ancesters James Grant and Ann Smith to a cottage called Iosal. They should have had a daughter, Jane in 1849. Thanks to anyone who could oblige.
      Patricia.

My great grandfather, Donald Meldrum married Jane Ann Grant at Iosal, Carrbridge, Duthil. Their son, also called Donald, was to be the next heir to the Iosal, but unfortunately, was accidentally shot at the age of 19. He had been mistaken for a roe deer in the woods. He'd died the year 1923.
