I really do appreciate your help.

Edmunds father is George Toms (Labourer.) I have the marriage certificate of Edmund and Sarah Grocock.  I fear that  this is as far back as I can get. I just thought that there may be some trace of a Toms family in Hanbury.
I will order the wedding certificate of Edmund and Hannah to see if there is any more information.
Thanks so much again.

Hi James,

All may not be lost.  The local family history society B.M.S.G.H. have a county marriage index running from at least 1660, sometimes 1537, to 1837.  It's a pay for search service http://www.bmsgh.org/search/Wo_marr_index.html

As for burials Worcestershire is fully covered in the National Burial Index 3 CD, but some counties aren't yet.  As for Baptisms the county index is available commercially http://www.fhs-online.co.uk/index.php (transcription only).

Don't forget FamilySearch and FreeREG, although both do not yet cover the whole county.

FreeREG covers Bromsgrove very well around 1829 and gives no hint of a Baptism.  Please double check.
