confused. com Clark/McGregor

I have a John Clark 1771 whom I was led to believe was married to a Ann McGregor 1773. It Appears she may have been married not only to John Clark, but also to a John Paton and possibly a John Cairn.
Also I was led to believe Ann Was also the daughter of a Hugh McGregor 1735 and Janet miller. Some have her as the daughter of a Peter McGregor, I am ever so confused any McGregor's out there that can help. I was hoping it was Hugh because I was also led to believe he was the grandson of Robert ROB ROY McGregor.  Please any help appreciated.
