Molly Hill - Beguildy
« on: Monday 09 July 12 19:25 BST (UK) »
Hi,
I am looking for a Molly Hill possibly born in Beguildy in around the early 1750's. She married Samuel Powell there in 1774, but I can't find her birth. Any help with her or her family would be great. Thanks  Jan.

Hi

Although she may have married there - she could have been born elsewhere.  And just to make things really difficult - Molly was often a pet name for Mary

Our ancestors didn't make life easy for us did they?

The IGI has no Molly's in Wales but a lot in England born in the 1750's

Hi Carole,
Thank you very much for your reply. I have been very lucky and someone has replied with a personal message with what I am certain is the baptism in Beguildy for MY Molly! It really is fantastic the great help that people give on Roots Chat. I had been searching for ages! Many Thanks again for your reply and for trying to help!  Best Wishes  Jan.
