Seaking information on Claude Williams, Edna Smith and family

Hi, I'm looking for any information on on Claude Kenneth Williams and his family from Northwich Cheshire.

Claude (b. 1895) m. Edna Smith (b.1897) 5 March 1921.
I believe that Edna's parents were Harriet (b.1852) and David Charles Smith (b.1851) and that Claude's Parents were John Lilly Williams (b.1864) and Charlotte Inman Pow (1871).

He did marry later and live in Wandsworth, but I'm looking to discover more about his first marriage and their family. I believe he had three sons from his first marriage but I'm struggling to find any records.

To find Williams mother's maiden name Smith birth records is a struggle as the names are not unusual.
Do you have any other information which may help?

When and where did Edna die?

Any ideas where the children may have been born?

Did Claude live in Wandsworth with Edna?

Claude married his second wife in 1953, and there is a child from the marriage - but you'll need to look it up yourself, as he may well be living.


A tree on Ancestry says they met in Germany, where both were working for the War Commission?

Claude did not live in Wandsworth with Edna, and as they state that they were living at the Mitre Hotel in Manchester on their Marriage Certificate, I don't have an address as a starting point for that part of their life. I believe they might have lived in or very close to Liverpool for the first 5 years or so of their marriage as he worked as a police constable there.

I don't know where Edna died, nor when/where her children were born. I do know that they had no connection to the Wandsworth side.
