Well that makes sense, Mary had rooms to let, Henry T moved in and married (or not) her daughter Ruth, and it seems that Ruth also had a brother who was the informant at his mother's death.  So the question now has got to be did any of the children that Ruth and Henry T had together survive, if so, they would be my ancestors however if they did not survive then the line would have died out.

Thank you to the other RootsChat poster regarding a possible marriage, Henry T did not have a brother Samuel and all his brothers stayed in England.

Walter is widowed by 1940 - so Ruth Hemple/Hample/Heyman has died as well between 1930 - 1940

goodness you should have been a private investigator  ;D

Someone has just sent me this "I also found birth records for two children in Philadelphia with a Henry Thomas Croucher as the father and a Ruth Ha(e)mple as the mother.  Both babies were named Henry Thomas.  They were living at 313 N. 9th St., Philadelphia which is a few blocks away from Franklin Street.  Both of the children died - one having been born 11-13-1925 died 5-1-1926.  the other only a few hours/days old having died 3/26/1924."

This ties in with the information you have found and makes me think that the line has died out, would you agree with that?

Its possible that Mary Croucher on the 1920 Census with Henry is Mary Hemple. She is around the same age and from Germany.  ???

Yes would seem the croucher line died out I'm afraid.  :'(

Meant to say that the marriage of Mary Moon to Henry Croucher on Familysearch, is not the right one.
