Copland and Dargavel were common names in Dumfriesshire but may  I point out another Co(u)pland/Dargavel marriage?  My greatgrandparents were elizabeth dargavel and robert coupland, both from Dumfriesshire, who married and moved to Lanarkshire around 1880. Would be glad of any info, especially on robert's grandfather, james coupland born in troqueer in 1801.

It has been a very long time but at last I am ready to continue the search for the Copland family. Just wondering if over the many years you may have come up with more information on William Copland (b.1817 married to Christina Bell and then Fanny McKinnell?  Would be grateful for any extra information.   Do you have Christina on your list?  So many James and Williams...very confusing .  Thanks for your past help.
