I have Sarah's surname as Missin and somehow have estimated her birth about 1712.  It would appear that William had a brother Richard and a sister Grace.  Presumably you have information about their descendants and are trying to push further back.

Hi there,

I too are researching the Missen family. Mine are from Little Wilbraham but have so far only got as far back as John Missen b. 1796 and Ann Taylor b. 1801 married in 1815
If these people are in your tree, I'd very much like to hear from you  :D

Hello,

All I know is that Sarah Misssen married William/Rolfe/Rolph at Fulbourn March 26 1733. There were three children: Grace, Richard and William and I am descended from this William who married Ann Ranner.  There may well be a connection with John Missen which is waiting to be uncovered!

Cheers,

Cromarty  :)

Hi poolhatbarton

Been meaning to message you for a few months but
I to descend from Susanna Missing/Missen and William Rolfe will give you my tree etc
William Rolfe born 23.7.1704 Isleham, Cambs married Susanna Missing 26.3.1733 in Fulbourn
They had my ancestor and yours William Rolfe born 6.6.1743 Fulbourn to Ann Ranner they married 21.11.1765 All Saints, Fulbourn
They had William Rolfe born 29.11.1767 Fulbourn and he married a Mary Preston on 14.7.1794 All Saints, Fulbourn
My line is from their daughter Sarah Rolfe born 1806 Fulbourn
Sarah married a William Mason born 1803 Fulbourn they had several children I am from child 2 George Mason born 1827/8 Fulbourn who married Ann White also from Fulbourn
William and sarah Mason left England for Australia and with their children
Henry Mason was the first arriving in 1854
Then Sarah and William with Mary ann, Harriet , Sarah, Emma I think a few more
My ancestor George and Ann stayed behind until they sailed in 1858 on the ship Stebonheath with Maria e , Frederick and a few more kiddies
The only son of William and Sarah stayed behind was William Mason
A story told by a Mulholland cousin
When Maria was still alive her grandaughter Elsie May Mulholland born 1898 had to do a biography on family members
Maria stated she was part Romany Gypsy
I think the Rolfes were Gypsy Descent
The white and Mason lines were fair and the Rolfes darker skinned
In my family the dark skin keeps going down the generations
My daughter has it
I don't but my mum, Grandmother, Great grandmother and Maria Madon sure did
I have a photo of her
So does your line have olive skin?
I did find Susannah missings parents but have mislade them
Does This help you
