I'm not sure but I think cause of death was Vascular Debility or Muscular Debility -4 Months signed by Robert Rennie/Finnie (doctor) . I can't decipher the rest.
And buried at ?? Church, Saltcoats.
If you wish others to look at this you can crop this portion and download it onto site. There is the deciphering board, where keener eyes than mine can usually work wonders!

As to the 1851 Census - I've had no joy finding any of the Taylor/Sinclair crew for sure. I wonder if Catherine was already dead :-\. As said before Archibald and the boys could be at sea.  Will look a little more.

Looby :)

There is an interesting entry on 1851-,

Panbrae Saltcoats

TAYLOR   Margt       Head       Unmarried   30       Hand Sewer Muslin  Argyllshire - Kintyre
TAYLOR   Isabella   Sister       Unmarried   19       Hand Sewer Muslin        Ayrshire - Stevenston        Relationship changed from Daughter to Sister.
TAYLOR       Margt       Sister       12       Hand Sewer Muslin        Ayrshire - Stevenston        Surname not enumerated - presumed TAYLOR.

Wondered if this was relevant - there are a few ambiguities here :-\

Struggling to find family members on the 1851 ::)

Are you descended from one of the Taylor children? If so which one please?
My thoughts on the three females on my last post -
There are 2 Margts (Margarets) who are sisters?
Margt Taylor born Argyll, Kintyre - Kintyre is an area of Scotland - Saddell, Skipness  and Carradale are in this area.
Isabella could be a mistranscription or an error. It could be Annabella Taylor.
There is confusion over the girls relationship. Dau scored out and replaced with sister ???
No-one fits the bill for Isabella and young Margt. on the 1841 Census.

Could this be Margaret Sinclair using the name Taylor living with her nieces while their father and brothers are at sea??

Looby :)

My goodness :o
What a sad end for Duncan, his wife and little Peter.
I wonder about Duncan's brother Peter. Can't locate him? Possibly he have died young too?
