He appears to have died in 1960 in NSW. Father Francis, mother Lilian.

He and Ida also lost a son, Gerald, in 1941

I found one mention of him on the Australian electoral rolls:
Lancaster Gerald Fabian c/o W.Wilson, M'by Ck (Mullumbimby), Labourer
Index says electoral year is 1930 so that narrows down his arrival a little.
District is Richmond
NSW

And under Pitt-Lancaster in 1943, 49, and 58.

Do you already have these or require details?

If he died in Australia do you have his death certificate? I'm not sure about more recent deaths but older ones say how long a person had lived in the state. Others will be able to advise further.

Hi Ruskie,
Thanks you very much for all your help & kindness, I'm very sorry I didn't see your reply before now. I don't have the detail of the electoral rolls which you have stated & would appreciate it greatly if you could post them here. I don't have his birth certificate either.

Once again many thanks for all your help,
Maria

Hi wivenhoe,çI'm very sorry I haven't answered before now, just seeing your post now, I never got an email to advise as usual!!! rather strange!! So thank you very much for your help & kindness.

Could you please tell me what exactly is this about? "Enlisted R.A.N Feb 1925 for 12 years b. 11 May 1903 Manchester"
I'm sure this his is Gerald Fabian's record because he was born  11 May 1905, two years later than what you have.

Many thanks for all your help greatly appreciated,

Maria

The 1930 Electoral Register information that I have already given is all that there is.

1943 - Gerald Fabian Pitt-Lancaster, male, State: NSW, District: Cowper, Subdistrict: Maclean
River Street, Maclean, ship's fireman
Ida Margaret Pitt-Lancaster, home duties

1949 - info as above except for District: Macarthur, Subdistrict: Ingleburn
42 Eighth St, Warragamba Dam, carpenter
+ Ida Margaret

1958 - info as above except that Subdistrict is Camden
Same address etc as 1949

Thank you once again Ruskie for this information, I really appreciate it. I can now reduce Gerald Fabian's arrival in Australia to between 1921 & 1930. Ancestry & FmyP and a great collection of passenger & crew lists but don's appear to have any of Gerald's arrival in Australia, he may have jumped ship as someone suggested!
If it's not asking too much, have you any idea what  this means? Enlisted R.A.N Feb 1925 for 12 years .
Kindest regards,
Maria

Thank you so much Majm,

wow, it never dawned on me to look only under Lancaster, this is a huge breakthrough in my research.

H T Pitt Lancaster, ex crew "Observer" - Hospital treatment - Departure per "Ormonde" September 1931.

I have just found this record on the same site  and  I wonder if it could be related to my Gerald Fabian Pitt- Lancaster and if it it would be worth retrieving?
