Brown Family Boot and Shoemakers, Birkinhead

Hi. I'm looking to trace my Great Grandfather John Brown who ran a small factory and shop in Birkinhead, Chesire at the end of the last Century. His name was John Brown, an Irishman who married an Anne and moved to Chesire when quite young. They had children, Anne, Mary and John William. Any info would be great.I think all the kids went to St.Werburgh's school and were all regualr attendees there.........

Hi. John and Anne were married about 1865 and children born in 1869 Anne. Mary in 1871 and John W in 1875

I have just looked on www.cheshirebmd.org.uk  1861-1870 for marriages for John Brown to an Anne
only one shows in Birkenhead- ( on freebmd it is 1862 marriage )
1862 at St Mary`s Eastham  John Brown to Anne Flinn    BK60/ 1/147  ..Eastham  is under Birkenhead registration - hence the BK at the beginning of the cert number

so Anne Flinn looks a good possible ...especially born in Ireland and has the name Flinn ( Flynn )

That looks good. I couldn't find one on Free BMD  .  I was looking at wrong years.

I can't see John before 1871 either
