Elizabeth Dearn - Burial please
« on: Thursday 06 March 14 13:47 GMT (UK) »
Hi

Elizabeth Dearn(e) died between 1851 & 1861 abode Warley. I am looking for her burial.  Her
husband Samuel Dearn died in 1839 and was buried at Halesowen, but I can't see Elizabeth there.
If anyone has access to burials for surrounding parishes I would be very grateful.

Free BMD has a death reg 1853 which may be her.

Hello Carol,

There is a discussion about Rats(bury) Castle which mentions Samuel Dearn (1768-1839) and Elizabeth Swain (1770-1853), in the link below:-  http://www.genealogyforum.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4514

A public member tree on Ancestry gives the death of Samuel Dearn on 24 Nov 1839 at Rats(bury) Castle.  The same tree gives the death of Elizabeth Swain as 13 Feb 1853 again at Rats(bury) Castle.

The tree seems well supported by independent records.  It may well be worth getting the death certificate from Jan-Mar 1853.

Hi

Thanks for the interest.

Since posting this request I have now got both of the death certificates.

Thanks
