COMPLETED -- MANY THANKS James Bee born c 1807 Newton Midlothian
« on: Sunday 13 April 14 11:48 BST (UK) »

I am trying to find James and his wife Helen Walkinshaw on the 1861 and following census.

They married in 1833 in Newton I have them on 1841 and 1851 census but cannot find them

on the 1861 or 1871 .

James was alive in 1869 as he registered his father's death

He died in 1880 .

Thanks

Hi Suzilad  :)

This is 1851 that you have?

James Bee 44 labourer
Helen Bee 43 b. Newbattle, mid L
David Bee 16 miller b. Newton, mid L
Robert Bee 12 b. Newton, mid L
Agnes Bee 10 b. Dalkeith, mid L
William Bee 8 b. Dalkeith, mid L
Andrew Bee 6 b. Dalkeith, mid L

Address: Lugton, Lugton & Bridgend, Dalkeith

I found this entry for 1861:

James Bee 50 labourer b. Dalkeith
Jessie Bee 47 b. Dalkeith
Andrew Bee 16 Sener Danper's (ap) Draper's ?

Address: James, Dalkeith

Possible second marriage for James?

Daughter Agnes' marriage mentioned here (if correct) might help with this http://boards.ancestry.co.uk/surnames.bee/62/mb.ashx

Have you viewed his 1880 death entry to see what it says?

Monica

::) Back to James...1871. A good match with the address for him from 1851:

James Bee 62 Loadsman (miller's) b. Dalkeith
Jessie Bee 57 b. Borthwick, Midlothian

Address: Lugton Dalkeith.
