Hall birth in Newlands !!!
« on: Monday 04 April 11 11:02 BST (UK) »
Hi,
can someone please let me know if I am in the correct place... :).

I am trying to search for a birth of Robert Hall son of Edward Hall and Jane (poss maiden name REAVELY) poss born 1816-1818 Newlands, I have tried SP but nothing showing there. Robert Hall is my 3rd great grandfather and have him in England cenus 1841-1871, on the 1851 census staing birth place Bamburgh, Northumberland then on the 1861 he gives place of birth as Newlands, Northumberland.
I can see from a map that Newlands is very close to the English boarders and wondered if he may have been born here. There is a Newlands in Northumberland but I think its to far south from Belford, as when married in Belford he had children born there and settled there for a while.

I do not have an awful amount of info on Robert as only found out about him a few weeks ago, if anyone has any suggestions I would be very grateful, Angeline xx

hi
the Parish of Newlands is in the Scottish Borders, but I think may be too far away to have a connection to your search as it is only 20 miles South of Edinburgh.
