John Orton , Hull

John Orton was born about 1754 likely in  Yorkshire and perhaps Hull or a near by village. He dies 19 May 1811 in Hull. The 1791 Hull Directory lists him at the Customs House in Salt house Lane. He Married Eleanor  Turner 26 Nov 1778 in Hull. ( one of their children is Joseph Rennard Orton 10/10/1795 to 30/4 /1842--Plenty of information on him)

I  know its going along way back in time but does anyone have information on the parents of John Orton or Eleanor Turner-- I believe Johns was a Thomas Orton who married Sarah Laughton. A number of trees list them but without much evidence. Eleanor's father is listed as John Turner on the marriage record on line. But no idea as to Location --but poss  Hull.

"On Wednesday last, aged 85, Mrs Sarah Orton, mother of Mr John Orton, of this place, landing waiter"
