Just to bear in mind it's possible that Con The Grocer WAS Patrick's father - He would have been in his 50's but I've heard of stranger.

Anyway, he was either Father OR Grandfather either way you will be better able to work it all out tomorrow with fresh eyes.

Super searching as usual Tara.
Just a little observation in case you missed it posts 65 and 66 are same man the priest made an error and put two sets of parents down after his name, his proper parents appear to be Michael and Marie and he somehow wrote the name of the parents for the baptism directly beneath it down as well they being Joannes and Esther or Estrad as transcribed.

Hum, I can't see this family in 1901 OR 1911

I can however see a Daniel Jones who had a Dairy, same crime as Con ie selling watered down milk. The address of 9 Lombard Street for crime matches address on all his children's baptisms.

He is also on a directory with a Dairy.

In 1890 he is described as Daniel Jones ESQ of Lombard Street which kind of adds up to this chap.

I was wondering MIGHT this be Daniel Jones but nothing concrete yet

I'm noting that by 1894 the Dairy at 9 Lombard Street was gone and the building was turned into tenements (same time as above will)

It's possible that Mary either remarried OR moved abroad !

Given that THIS Cornelius was still alive after civil registration would mean that his death SHOULD be registered (always exceptions though).

Anyway the ONLY one that I can find is for the Cornelius whom was born early 1800 ~ this is leading me to SPECULATE again that Con The Grocer is Patrick's FATHER.
