Lookup at Scotland's People Centre

Hi,

Is someone going to the Scotland's People Centre and can do a look up for me?

I am after the death date of Janet Jane LEADBETTER (nee DICKSON) who died in 1993 in Hawick, Scottish Borders.  GROS Data number is 823/000253.

I will be in Hawick in late May and am hoping to find her headstone. I am planning to contact the Borders Council to find the burial location (cemetery, plot etc), but they need the death date and not just the year.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Debbie, The following is what I got for you today: Janet Jane Leadbetter, Widow, Died 29 November 1993 at Borders Hospital, Melrose. Age 82 years, born 26 November 1911.
Father: John Dickson, Shepherd Deceased. Mother: Helen Cowan, Deceased. Cause of Death:
Metastatic Adenocarcinoma. Informant: W. B. Leadbetter, Son, Rose Cottage, Howdenbro[en], Hawick.
Hope this helps you in your research and enjoy your stay in Hawick and Scotland, Good Luck.

Might be a good idea if you amend your post  to remove the informant's name and address and PM Debbie with that info, as you can't be sure that he isn't still alive (and certainly, someone of same surname still seems to live at the address).
