Well, from what hanes teulu has translated via PM (thank you  HT :)  ). Jane was a bit of a trouble maker - in life and death  :o

She was the mother of my  2 x great step -grandmother !

I'm now intrigued. Not sure how to find out about it all. This was Llantysilio, Denbighshire in 1845.

The first word is the main problem -Gwrrigan or similar -  could it be a version of Gwraig (wife) - sorry, I've not really studied Welsh for a long, long time  :-\

Thanks to Jimbach - he has confirmed that the first word (Gwreigan)  means 'little wife' *

'Little wife, a cause of disputes in life and a source of similar in death.'

She sounds a bit of a handful  :-X

* I wonder if it could also mean  ' young wife'. She was only 36.  Married young - in 1826, maiden name was Davies.  The family in 1841 - 1405/8/3/5

I've been doing some research on the perpetual curate who wrote the entry in the parish register.

He was  a John William Kirkham (b1818, Mold -d 1894, Llanbrynmair).  The son of Edward Kirkham (shoemaker) and Tabitha Blackwell and nephew of the Rev John Blackwell, 1797-1840 (Alun) of Mold and Manor Deifi:

John Blackwell married Matilda dear in Holywell in 1839. J W Kirkham was one of the witnesses.

I've turned up quite a lot of info on the family.
