I'm not going to argue with you - you are perfectly entitled to your point of view.

But, I will say that, if you are not prepared to accept your family history, warts and all, then simply don't start!

We all have bastard births, criminals, and black sheep in our families.
Why get upset over something you have no control over?

OTOH, if it's within (say) the last 100 years, then I might take a different view in presenting these facts to others.

When people ask me about FH I usually start by asking if they are prepared for these kind of events? If they aren't prepared to accept truths and facts, then I don't want to do their research!

I have hizzeys in my family, not found anyone else who has. they were Berkshire folk I wander if there is any connection with mine. it is back a while, a Rachel hizzey bn 1764-1818 married james adby and they became my 4th great grandparents.
