Yes what it says is:
 Lilian Winifred BRITTON formally Laity,  but it also says under signature and residence of informant as:
W B DUNSTAR occupier I Barncoose Place Illogan, this is the same place as Leonard was born.

Leonard was born 14 Jan 1916 and was registered 12 Feb 1916

the first Britton record in the Redruth registration district is George's marriage in 1907, so looks like he was from outside the area. When you receive the marriage cert, post again with the details for George. He doesn't seem to be in Cornwall in 1881, 1891 or 1901.

Other Britton entries from Redruth, so would look to be the same family

I received the marrage cert to day re: George BRITTON and Lillian LAITY.

Married at Tuckingmill Parish Church Cornwall after banns.

24 Dec 1907 George BRITTON 21 Miner Wheal Gery, father John BRITTON (deceased) Bricklayer.
                     Lillian Winifred LAITY 21    Wheal Gery, father William John LAITY Mason.
in presence of Williaim John LAITY, Susan Jane TYZER.

So l still cant find any info were the BRITTONS came from also l have no idea were Wheal Gery is.

There are some good websites on the Cornish tin/copper mines, a few of my ancestors came from round Camborne, Carn Brea area, before leaving for the North (Lancashire) and America as the industry died out...

George is proving difficult to find  :-\

This might be a red herring, but I too have an interest in Britton ancestry, and have traced mine from Wales back to Bitton/Kingswood, South Gloucestershire,(near Bristol), where the family seems to have been well established. Is it possible that this is the source of your Britton line?
