Sorry, but your post doesn't seem to make much sense  :-\

You've said you are "looking for the maiden name of Mary Walsh" who was "Married to Michael Joseph Higgins." but them say her parents were "Margaret Green" & "Her Father is Thomas J Higgins". Not sure what the dates after parents' names are but since they can't be birthdates are they death dates?

She was married to John Walsh . They both were born is 1887 in Irish Free State
I don't have the Married date
They had 6 Children: John J., William, Matthew, Thomas, Mary Amelia, Francis.

John Walsh is a very common name. There are many marriages between a John Walsh and a Mary _____. No way of telling which is the right one. I think you should try to find Mary’s maiden name from sources in the US such as her naturalisation papers or death cert. That will make it easier to find her marriage.

Incidentally you mention that both were born in the Irish Free State, and also that Mary was born in Tyrone. Tyrone is in Northern Ireland, not what later became the Irish Free State, though at the time of her birth it was all just Ireland anyway.

Are you sure they were in Watertown in 1930?  I see a family in Boston in the 1930 Census that fits the names of the children you gave & John was born about 1888, but Mary was younger.  The 1930 Census gives an age at first marriage, which may give you some idea of when they married.

If you're trying to work backwards, maybe it's best to start with the first deceased person that you have information about and then we can go back from there.

I have a great aunt Isabella Glass, born in Co. Tyrone, who was married to a John Walsh who came from Castletown Bere, in Co. Cork.  Walsh is a very common name in that area.  They met in the US, were married in 1885 in Rhode Island.  Perhaps your Mary Walsh's family were from the same area in Co. Cork.

Hi jecgirl

Thanks for the reply back
Well, I was just hoping you may know some Walsh.
Mary birth place is Co. Waterford. Like you said, there is so many in that area.
But I just thought I would try & hope.
Do know any one else working on that family tree with info?
Think I have to get the Naturalisation papers.
I have never done that. Do you know how that is done?
No luck founding her death date yet.

The original post says "I'm looking for the maiden name of Mary Walsh.

Mary dob September 1866 ( I don't know the day) in Tyrone Ireland."

Hardly likely then to be the same as the 2 you posted.
