look up request... jane walder

hi there,

im stuck again!!!!!

im looking for details on a jane walder and her parents etc

jane walder was born in 1822, she married charles glue in rogate sussex. they had many children ( can give details if needed)

the only problem is, i dont have any details on her parents or siblings etc.

could someone please do a look up for me and help me out??

Have been through the 1841 census for Rogate; and whilst there are several families with the Walder surname, was unable to find a Jane aged approx 19

when did she marry Charles Glue?

Having some Walders in my tree (based around Bolney, Sussex)I found the following site & owner (Geoff) helpful when researching them.

There are a few Jane's on there. Don't know if you've already checked it out but if not it might be worth a look.

hi chris, i know that her first child was born in 1843 so they must have been married around that time. i cant be more specific as i cant find the info required!!! chasing my tail again!!!!

Parents - John WALDER and Martha

Hope this can point the way to more info from someone else - Sussex Marriage Index look-up perhaps?? 

Also found possible siblings..

Charlotte bapt 27th Aug 1820 Rogate
John bapt. 5th Oct 1823 Rogate
Ann bapt 10th March 1833 Rogate

Parents for all John WALDER and Martha

I'd suggest you start a new thread requesting a Sussex Marriage Index  look up for John and Martha as someone with access to the SMI is more likely to see it. I'd also ask if Jane and Charles' marriage is listed too - the SMI is pre-Sept 1837, it's just possible Jane could have married at 16?? Worth a shot!!

Perhaps also request another look at the 1841 for this family in Rogate. Of course Jane could have been working as a servant etc elsewhere.
