German Church Edinburgh
« on: Tuesday 22 July 14 10:40 BST (UK) »
Hello,
can anybody tell me where are the churchbooks of this church? I'm looking for the marriage of Wilhelm Kuhn (Kühn) and Susanne Schnitzler on 21 (or28) September 1891. This Church told me that they don't have the books before second world war.
Maybe anybody knows if there is a church or other archive where the books could be.
Thanks a lot and excuse my bad english

Hi Schorsch,

There are 2 Wilhelm Kuhn marriages on http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk the first in 1891 to Susanne Schintzler in St Andrews parish,  Edinburgh GROS ref 685/02 0434. The second one is in 1953 to Martha Thiele in Dunnichen, Angus, GROS ref 283/00 0003.

The website can be used buy 30 credits for £7 and it will take 6 credits to download the marriage certificate.

Hi,
If you have the marriage certificate it should give you the names of witnesses on it as well as the

parents and the minister who married them .
