Looking for marriage details to return WWII service record _Hendry

In a box of auction items I won recently I came across a WWII service card for a Kenneth Arthur Hendry of Napier. I have managed to find out, from some amazing people at the local genealogists society that Kenneth was born in 1915 and married Mary Whitcombe in 1947. They had at least one child I can find a Rosemary Florence born in Island Bay, Wellington in 1950. I find her again in Electoral roll in 1978 again in Island Bay. I can however find no other trace of her so I assume she has married and changed names.
I would love to return this family record to it's rightful family but do not know how to proceed from here. Can anyone help please.
Kenneth died in 1996 and is buried at Otaki Cemetery in the RSA soldiers lawn.
Rosemary and any other children are probably still alive and I would love to send this to them. Any advice very welcome.

Have you tried facebook and friends reunited?  I was able to find some long lost relations on facebook, even some into their 70's and 80's who are computer savvy, hope is still out there.

I see Mary is buried with him,try emailing the funeral directors and explain why you want the contact details,they have an 0800 number as well

Thank you for the advice - I have written to the funeral directors and will see what they say. I have tried facebook and google but to no avail. Probably help if I knew the daughters surname.

There is a Rosemary Hendry, showing her married name, on Old Friends, which could be the daughter.

Hey thanks for this - a good lead. I have written to said women and asked if she is the one Will wait and see what happens next. She will probably think I am some nutter trying to stalk her if I am not careful.

The funeral director contacted the daughter for me and she gave permission for me to contact her directly. I have done this and will drop off the envelope to her on Monday. All sorted
