I recall the statue of Rob Roy being erected in Stirling and my shock on seeing that it made him look dwarfish.
I also recall that there was much debating in the council chambers as to where it should be sited.
Rob Roy had been banned from entering Stirling and so the Statue as erected just outside the old town wall.
Cheers.

...he used the surname Campbell at one time...

The "Testament Dative and Inventory" linked to on a page Malky posted in reply #1 shows that he was using the surname Campbell at that time:

...does anyone know the names etc of any siblings...

Another site linked to by Malky in reply #1 has Rob Roy's genealogy, including siblings:

As their name was proscribed, the MacGregors had to use another  for legal purposes, ie a bill, deed or will, often their landlord.  The MacGregors suffered at the hands of the Breadalbane Campbell's but Rob Roy was on good terms with Argyll, both had a common enemy in Montrose.

I believe some prominent McGregors changed their name to 'Stirling'

There was a MacGregor conference in Perthshire, during the proscription, which lasted several days, to decide whether to adopt the name of  Grant due to their common ancestry in the Clan Alpin, and many kindnesses between them. This was agreed, and that a former MacGregor would be chief of the whole name. When word came to Castle Grant the laird was apoplectic, the very notion of some raggedy arsed MacGregor setting foot before the Laird of Grant, and the notion was dropped.
The Stewarts in exile referred to the Laird of Grant, who they failed to win over, as his Highland Majesty.
