Scotland's People - how do I search for a death from 1862?

Looking at the page I do not understand how to do this? Can someone please educate me?

You have to be logged in, and have credits, to see records.

Open "Statutory Registers" "Deaths", at  the top left of the home page. This will give you the search page.

Thank you. I thought I had logged in I didn't realize you have to login again everyttime you change sections or pages - frustrating :)

You should stay logged in if you just move from section to section.

You only need to re log in if you've closed the whole website down,it automatically logs you out for safety.

Are you navigating round using the functionality in the site or using the browser functionality to go backwards? It may be taking you back to the login if you back out using the browser buttons.

I think that's what I was doing. It's just so different from Ancestry, but there's not much info (or I can't find it) on Ancestry

Scotland's People is brill once you find something,as the actual cert is online,no having to order it for £9-25 and waiting for it to arrive.However you do have to be careful with your credits,as they vanish fast when you're first learning what to do!  ;D
