Irish Genealogy
« on: Tuesday 09 December 14 08:16 GMT (UK) »
Yesterday morning i was on the above site every thing O K but yesterday after noon when i tried to enter i was shocked to receive the message ''You are a spanner,a scammer and usually a bad person'' and appear to be blocked from the site now it's saying servor error.
Due to my age and not too poor eyesight i will admit that sometimes i have to have several goes at solving the Captcha's before i get it right if only they would stick to the numbers which are much easier for me and possibly others on here.
As i say i was very shocked to receive the above message and was wondering does any body think i have been hacked or is this message genuinely coming from Irish Genealogy site.

I think there's a problem at IrishGenealogy.ie!

This morning, I'm getting HTTP Error 500 - The server encountered an internal error () that prevented it from fulfilling this request.

I would try again later today!

The wording of the error you received, would indicate to me that the site has probably been hacked?
I can't see any site sending a message telling you that "you are a bad person"?! :-\

Re: Irish Genealogy - Captcha

On most of the sites I use that require your to enter the words/characters shown in their 'Captcha' box I too have had problems sometimes with deciphering what they have displayed. Mostly I now use the voice 'captcha', usually only 5 numbers , and a lot quicker too!

Just click on the 'Loudspeaker Icon' - see the attachment  ;)

The top icon is for Refresh, which brings up a different captcha!

Invaluable when the offered one is fuzzy!! ;D
