Hi there, Just wondering if anyone can help with a brick wall I have hit
I would be most interested to hear from anyone connected or with info on John and Lavinia Ellen Harris ( nee France)
Lavinia was born in Shropshire in 1893, and married John Harris in the Huntingdon area in 1917.
Lavinia died in the Huntingdon area in October 1987.
Any help much appreciated

Thank you Suzard..I would be interested if anyone could double check their marriage ( to make sure Lavinia is daughter of William France)and also if they had any descendants .. I also havent been able to find Lavinia France ( born 1893) on the 1911 census, so if anyone can solve that puzzle, that would be great too..

As you don't know where they married your best (only) bet is to purchase the marriage cert which will give you her father's name.

To find possible children use www.freebmd.org.uk and just put in Harris and France under mother surname. I can see one in Huntingdon in 1927

Lavinia Ellen's death reg gives her d.o.b. as 6 April 1893

I cannot find any other birth reg's about that time of a Lavinia Ellen France

1901 she seems to be Ellen (probably to save confusion with her Mother)

cannot find her in 1911

I think it seems a good guess that her father was William - marriage cert needed to confirm-as bedfordshireboy suggested
