No Esther Maddocks as such locally. There may be a couple of spouses with that name.

Roger - I think Thomas and Mary are shown as b. Flintshire in the 1841. He was an ag lab.

Just throwing this in ~

Interesting marriage in Malpas in 1763:

10 Dec Wm Maddocks and Mary Harris both of Is (? would this be Iscoed)

and

17  May 1736 William s/o John and Mary Maddocks of Willington

Yes could be very interesting, all places  you mention are not too far away.Going back for one moment to the original point of the thread in finding spouses etc for the missing years, unless you are very lucky you do indeed have to make "educated guesses"!

Maybe, Roger, but Sesswick is a way from Tybroughton where they were living in 1841. They might have had children there - bosrtd might know.

Added:

The North Wales BMd shows  a death for a Thomas Lee in Hanmer in 1841. I think that would be the Ellesmere RD on the GRO Index - but 2 registrations!

No burials showing!

Hi,

This thread seems to have moved on a long way since I last looked.

In response to a question several emails ago I can't shed any light on the children of Thomas and Mary Lee, other than their second Mary.

Did I miss the connection with Maddocks? I found a marriage in 1790 of Thomas Lee and Mary Maddocks at Tilston which is not that far from Hanmer. Is this the same Maddocks family that has now appeared in the thread?

Would it be this one, Brian?

https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FBZV-2HF

If so, they had children in Tilston when your T & M were having children in Hanmer,  so it would most likely rule them out.
