I am not sure why you would share information you already had on an Ireland query but not on here?http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=696456.msg5400092

Before searching in Ireland you should have have all information up to date over here...Is there more which you knew but have not shared?

While doing research on my family tree for Michael Boyce..I came across some files that are confusing...

Michael Boyce b 1833 in Ireland married to Catherine Boyce
Michael Boyce b 1835 in Canada married to mary Sullivan
Michael Boyce b 1833 in Canada married to Hellen (Ellen)
Michael Boyce b 1833 in Ireland married to Mary Gould
Parents vary from Henry Joseph Boyce and Mary McMonigal
to Patrick Boyce and Alice Hanes

Please reread this thread through thoroughly and add any pertinent information you may have that has not been added, then ask more questions pertaining to what had been found thus far.

For instance, you have a baptism for Michael...Do you have any other baptisms for siblings?
Don't bother adding your notes such as in reply #11 , as only the one married to Ellen is the one we seek.

Well you now have the details of enlistment in 1855 which shows that he was already in the U.S. working as a cooper in Portland Maine...Fort Snelling would have positioned him at Hennepin Minn at one time or another...
Helen/Ellen Hanley says she was born May 1836 to 1840 Ireland..
There is an Ellen Hanly, servant born 1836 ireland, Saint Anthony, Hennepin, Minnesota in 1857

There was a sawmill near the St. Anthony Falls....just a thought, I tend to post what I find, these days, rather than have a pile of notes...

There are several Hanley from Ireland, in earlier census of Hennepin including a few in Saint Anthony

I imagine you've tried to get some R.C. parish baptisms of their children if any exist?...Have you also written the parish to see if they have a marriage?
