David is still a lead mine foreman. Ellen Jane is a boarding house keeper.
They have four boarders, all sorters at General Post Office,all born London.

Photo taken 1965, Dora Mary Jones, Catherine (Katie) Carruthers nee Jones, her daughter Jean, and their brother, either Davie, Elllis, William or Rhys, and Dora's friend  Sarah Gore.

I have now remembered that some of this family  moved to Llanwrst and Dolwyddelen. David T. Jones may have married a lady named Gracie; there was an 'Elizabeth Anne' mentioned frequently.

I can't help re finding descendants but can offer some help re David Jones, the son.


David Thompson Jones of 1 Glanrafon was Pte 18239 in RWF during WW1. He will have enlisted towards end of November 1914. He went to France in December 1915 with the 16th Bn and served there with them and aslo on attachments to a Sniping Coy.For his bravery in the action at Englefontaine on 4 11 1918 he was awarded the Military Medal on 31/12/1918.

If this is the one then the gentleman in the photo will not be David.

Many thanks for finding that information for me; ties in with the name, Gracie, that  I remembered!

Possibly the gent in the photo could have been William or Rhys?
