Who lived in the Log House In Capel Curig from 1900 to 1960?  Did David Lloyd George live there?

According to a site renting it at £1585 per week, Lloyd George took it over in the 1920s from the

Norwegian sea captain who had built it. They say L G used it as a hideaway for his numerous

girlfriends.

This, perhaps, suggests the name of an occupier in 1947,not named here in case they are still alive.

I'm not sure about the build date but I can't see it on the 1919-20 map at www.old-maps.co.uk.

Roger

Thank you Roger,  we also could not find it on the same old map, but we believe it was built in 1923 by a Norwegian sea captain.  Regards  Camoens.

I keep seeing refs to it being built in 1900,but perhaps you know something I don't.

Also, just seen ref to it being "owned by Prime Ministers & bank robbers alike!!!!!"

Hi Everlea,  Thanks for info.  These could be stories as we have not seen deeds.  We are trying to confirm these stories.  Regards, Camoens
