He's probably dead by now;

What PARTICULAR events or relationships are you try to progress with?
What (else) do you already hold.

Hello Golfer and welcome to rootschat  :)

There are lots of people here willing to give you lots of help but we need your help to know what exactly you are looking for.  To save your time reading information found, which you already may have, could you tell us what else you already know and/or why you are looking for this person?

I can see two John Jones Innkeepers in 1861, one retired born in 1789 and one born in 1801 running the Golden Lion Trawscoed.  Might this be relevant?  Where do you need to go from here, further back or forward in time?

Best wishes

Hugs

Hi Golfer and welcome to Rootschat.

You will see in the tips on the Rootschat beginners page that message thread titles should really show the surname you are looking for.

To change this thread so that people have an idea of the name and rough area/date,you can go back into your original posting and click on modify and change the title to one that will catch people's eye more easily.

Regards

Carol

While the census references in the previous post appear to be correct for the family you want, your query title may be a bit misleading. As hugatree found there is a John Jones at The Golden Lion Trawscoed in 1861

1861  RG09  4238  65   1

This may become simply Lion Inn,Trawscoed in 1871 run by Thomas Jones?

1871  RG10  5600  63   16
(who could be the Thomas Jones at Harp Inn,East Street in 1861!)

Regards
Roger
