All over the country but it's interesting to see the numbers drop.
Puts an interesting twist on searches in the future.

I suspect the slowness is partly because of lots of people using the site at the same time, once the initial rush passes, the response time should be more typical. . . . and hopefully faster!!

What I would like to know is how one can use the information to get a cert since no volume and page information shows. Is the "Group Registration ID" some kind of unique identifier that will serve the same purpose as the traditional volume and page numbers.

Like Dermo  says does anybody know if you can order certs in the GRO research room using the "Group Registration ID" I have come across some records which have the volume and page number on familysearch and ancestry  but this has been replaced by this ID code on the new site.

Hi
My question is can you use the use the Group Registration ID code to order certs when specifically visiting the GRO research facility located in Werburgh Street Dublin as opposed to ordering certs online or visiting local health board offices to obtain certs?

No one knows. We have to wait until someone tries.

Claire Santry says that the group registration ID should be all you need to get a cert from GRO though she also advises giving them the registration district, volume and page numbers too just to be sure. I hope to get to Werburgh St this coming week to try out the new system.
