« on: Thursday 19 May 11 12:51 BST (UK) »
Hi

I have the marriage cert of my Grt Grt grandparents and am trying to trace further details for my Grt Grt Grandmother.

Born approx 1844
Details on marriage cert:
Mary Smith (formerly Craig ) Widow and her father was Robert Craig (Police Officer)
The marriage between Mary and William Earl was in Liverpool 29 Mar 1875 even though William was from Derry and we are sure Mary was from Greenoch.

Any info would be great, thank you
Annie
Northumberland, Alnwick:
James Arkle - married to Mary Jane Charlton approx 1890/92 but shown as deceased by the time his daughter Jamesina born in Jul 1893.

Hello Elaine

That's lovely thank you very much, you have given me the much needed info to enable me to look further now.

Mary and William Earle eventually settled in Salford, Lancashire where my journey started so I am really grateful for all the help Rootshcat folk have helped me with.

Kind rgds
Annie :)

Hi Elaine

I Googled the Inverclyde BMD's as suggested but then wasn't sure which site to choose from - Scotlands People came up and I do have a few credits left on there but I found the documents quite hard to read - in fact one was so feint it looked blank...lol, and then I am never quite sure about the Districts. I don't really want to buy more credits just yet if there is an easier site to use, could you please advise the full website address for the Inverclyde BMD's.

Thank you and sorry to be such a pain.
Annie

Hi Elaine,

I'll email Scotlands People as I used 5 credits to view it and the more info I have found the more I want, it has bcome very addictive but had to break off for a while as I was trying too hard to trace family without the correct records, in other words I was too impatient but that just leads to disappointment.

Just about to look on the link you have given me.  :)

Rgds
