What happened to Amey?
« on: Friday 11 July 14 11:33 BST (UK) »
Amey Ellen Scriven born 1879 Almondsbury, parents Winchcomb William and Elizabeth Ann Scriven'  In 1897 Amey married Edward Alway. They had a daughter Edith Maud Mary born 1898. Sadly father Edward appears to have died in 1898.  On the 1901 census Edith is living/staying with her grandparents.

But what has happened to Amey?

Any help would be appreciated.

Looks as though she married Joseph Henry Harrison and by 1911 census had a son named for the father - Joseph Henry Harrison aged 11 weeks, living in Medway, Kent.

Are the dates correct Kay?  According to what you've written William McCoy is still alive when Amy married Joseph Harrison.

There is a death recorded for a William McCoy in Sep Qtr 1901 at Dudley 6c 37 aged 47 which might explain his 'early' demise in their marriage.

Edit.  Amy Ellen & Joseph Henry Harrison had been married for 14 years at the time of the 1911 census so not this topic's Amey unfortunately.

Can't find any suitable Amy Harrison or Amy Buckler nor Edgar Percy Buckler in the 1911 census.

Maybe after all her marriage troubles she emigrated hence her daughter still being with her grandfather?
